In 2011, NMIT has gone completely wireless with wifi@nmit.
NMIT now provides free wireless access to the internet for staff and students from all NMIT campuses and training centres.
That's right, any wireless device (whether it is an NMIT owned device or wi-fi enabled personal laptop or mobile phone) should be able to detect, and connect to, wifi@nmit from most open areas within 5 metres of most NMIT buildings.
Access to printing through the wireless network is also available, but only from NMIT-owned wireless devices.
Prerequisites
Most wi-fi enabled devices should have easy access to the wireless network, but if you're after the technical prerequisites they are as follows:
Staff: Simply use your normal Novell Username and Password
Students: Use your Student Portal Username and Password (which is now the same as the password required to access class computers, My PC and Student Email)
