New Cook Books
Preston library is well-stocked for cookbooks of all cuisines, styles and tastes. Cooking can help people relax, focus, and ultimately study! It's also cheaper and better for you than takeaway. Here's just a small selection of some of the new cook books at Preston Library (we've also got food magazines too, like Delicious).
Merle's Kitchen, by Merle Parrish
The Food and Culture around the world handbook, by Helen C Brittin
Slow Food: a passion for produce, by Jared Ingersoll.
The Urban Cook: cooking and eating for a sustainable future, by Mark Jensen.

Faster PC log-ins
Use MyPC to book a computer at the library and avoid the slow log-in process. MyPC is also handy to ensure you get a spare computer in the labs, especially as things get busier and more students are studying for exams and handing in assignments.
Another tip: if you use the same computer, you'll find that logging in will be even quicker and problem free (it's a computer thing; it'll recognise you just like humans do).
So, access MyPC booking here, or ask any of the library staff for help in booking a PC.
